The government moves freight constantly. It has to hire someone to move it.
Oppward tracks hauling, freight, and warehousing contracts and matches them to your fleet, your lanes, and your capacity.

It’s all public. It’s also nearly impossible to find.
The federal government alone spends over a trillion dollars a year buying ordinary services from ordinary businesses: roofing, cleaning, landscaping, trucking, IT support, security guards, catering. Every one of those purchases is public record.
It’s just scattered across SAM.gov and Grants.gov, thousands of live listings written in acronyms and procurement jargon, and effectively invisible unless you already know where to look. Most owner-operators never look past their regular freight brokers, even though federal agencies post hauling and warehousing work constantly.
Three steps. No consultants, no acronyms.

We match new contracts to you every day
Every morning we pull fresh listings from SAM.gov and match them to your profile inside the app. If your organization is the kind that wins grants, we also check Grants.gov for the ones that fit. Free accounts see matches on a 48-hour delay; Pro sees them the moment they post.

You bid on the ones worth your time
We hand you the listing and the link back to the source. Bidding still takes real work. We just make sure you see the opportunity before the deadline passes.

hello@oppward.com →Is this just a newsletter?
No. Signing up creates a real, free Oppward account, not just an email subscription. You get a one-click link to sign in the moment you sign up, and inside the app you can browse your matched feed, save searches, and manage your plan. The daily digest email is one part of the free account, not the whole product. Returning any time, use the "Sign in" link at the top of the page, same one-click link, no password to remember.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you a real account, the daily digest email, and the live feed inside the app on a 48-hour delay with a capped number of results per day. Pro ($14.99/mo) removes the delay and the cap, and adds instant email alerts the moment something matches, saved searches you can re-run any time, and a weekly personalized match email. Both plans see the same real SAM.gov and Grants.gov data; Pro just gets it to you faster and without a limit.
Is this real money?
Yes. Every listing is a contract or grant the government has actually posted, publicly, on SAM.gov or Grants.gov. We link back to the original listing on every card so you can verify it yourself.
Do I need to already be a government contractor?
No. Most people using Oppward have never sold to the government before. That's the point. We translate the listing into plain English and point you to what to do next.
What is SAM registration, and do I need it?
SAM.gov is the government's vendor registry. You'll need a free SAM registration before you can be awarded a federal contract, though not before you start browsing and planning. It takes some paperwork; we can point you to help with it if you get stuck.
How long does bidding actually take?
It varies by opportunity, from a same-day quote to a multi-week proposal. We're honest about this: finding the opportunity is the easy part we handle. Putting together a winning bid still takes real work on your end.
Will I actually get matched to grants?
Only if they genuinely fit you. Most federal grants fund university research, nonprofits, and public agencies, not general contracting, cleaning, landscaping, or trucking work, so most small service businesses will see few or no grants, and that's expected, not a bug. Tell us what kind of organization you are at signup, and if you're a nonprofit, a research or technology company, or a government or tribal entity, you'll see the real, currently open grants that match. Contracts are matched to every business regardless of type.
Is Oppward affiliated with the government?
No. Oppward is an independent, privately run service. We aggregate public procurement data; we are not SAM.gov, Grants.gov, or any government agency, and no purchase or signup implies government endorsement.
How do you estimate what a contract will pay?
Most open listings don't come with a dollar amount attached, so on those we show a typical-award estimate instead of leaving you guessing. It's built from real, closed USAspending.gov contract awards in the same field (NAICS code), and the same state when we have enough of them there. We only ever show it once we have at least 8 comparable past awards, and if the range of what people were actually paid is wide, we show the range instead of one number. It's always labeled "est." and always shows how many real awards it's built from. It is never a guess at THIS specific contract's value, only what similar work has paid before, and if there isn't enough history yet, we say so instead of making something up.
