Project Title: Fort Custer National Cemetery – Cemetery Expansion & Site Improvements Project Number: 909CM3030 Procurement Method: Invitation for Bid (IFB) – Sealed Bidding Agency: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery (NCA) Place of Performance: Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, Michigan49012 1.
Project Overview (Summary of Bid Items) The contemplated contract will include the following work as shown in the construction documents (Drawings & Specifications Volumes 1–3): CLIN 0001 – Base Bid, General Construction (Cemetery Expansion): Construct a 3,360-niche columbarium.
Develop gravesite sections for 3,712 pre-placed crypt burials.
Develop gravesite sections for 6,821 in-ground cremains interments.
CLIN 0002 – Option Bid Item 1 (Maintenance Yard Pavement): Replace asphalt pavement with concrete in the maintenance yard per Bid Alternate in Volume CLIN 0003 – Option Bid Item 2 (Site Improvements): Renovations at the Administration Building and PIC/Restroom building.
Construct one new Storage Building in the maintenance area.
Provide swing space as depicted in the plans for Alternate “B”.
CLIN 0004 – Option Bid Item 3 (Irrigation Expansion): Irrigation improvements at the existing cemetery.
Provide a permanent power source to Committal Shelter A.

Period of Performance Anticipated completion is 540 calendar days (18 months) from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
